VSI’s Budapest facility, Mafilm Audio, joined the Group in 2012, bringing with it many years of experience in the dubbing industry. It is the longest-established sound studio in Hungary and one of the most prominent in the entire CEE region. With its origins as part of the state film studios in 1948, it continues to be the leading dubbing studio in Hungary, with a large client portfolio ranging from local and international TV channels to multinational distributors and major film studios.

Our Budapest facility dubs and mixes numerous theatrical and home-entertainment releases each year and offers subtitling for all media, including DCP. We are always adapting to the most recent developments in technology. We currently have 6 recording rooms, a Dolby-licensed theatrical mixing studio and a separate foley suite.

Mafilm Audio is at the heart of post-production for the Hungarian film industry and was recently responsible for the Academy award-winning feature, Son of Saul, which also won a prestigious Golden Reel award for Best Sound Editing in a Foreign Language Feature Film.

VSI Budapest’s strength also lies in its people. With a large pool of highly-skilled translators, adaptors, editors, voice artists and Hungary’s best dubbing directors, we consistently deliver outstanding quality.
