Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you will be a part of a team working on a variety of exciting localisation projects and ensuring client retention, excellent service and revenue growth. You will be working on translation, voice-over/dubbing, subtitling or translation projects for various clients worldwide.

About the role: 

  • Managing full project cycles from initial quotation to planning, scheduling, budgeting, problem solving, QC, delivery, post-project review and signing-off for invoicing, while adhering to VSI’s processes and quality standards
  • Managing workflows to ensure projects are completed on a timely basis, within budget and to a high-quality standard at all times 
  • Close financial monitoring and control of projects through budgets, invoicing and change orders, achieving targeted levels of profitability
  • Provide operational support to Sales/ Account Management in preparing quotes for complex projects
  • Pro-actively maintaining a thorough understanding of VSI’s core businesses in order to be able to advise clients on our services and pass on cross selling opportunities to Sales.
  • Preparing project reports for account manager and/or HOD as required
  • Arranging production meetings or conference calls with clients on complex projects and maintaining strong communication channels
  • Using your initiative to deal with client or supplier issues
  • Identifying project/process improvement opportunities
  • Discussing and understanding each client's specific requirements and offering advice if necessary
  • Processing supplier and client invoices timely and accurately
  • Any ad-hoc admin as required

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent command of the English language at business level
  • Prior experience in a project management capacity in the localisation and/or media industries
  • Be an excellent team player, particularly when working closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate multi-media needs across production services and ensuring consistency.
  • Effective verbal/written communication skills when working with clients, suppliers and internal team members
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and often under pressure, in a calm manner
  • Highly motivated, entrepreneurial spirit with proven problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable, and able to work in a variety of roles in a changing environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Good Microsoft Office skills

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of Dubbing/VO and Subtitling workflows
  • An understanding and interest in languages
  • Expertise in industry-related Project Management, CAT tools and subtitling software would be a plus
