Head of HR

The business is looking for a Head of HR who will drive and implement the HR strategy for the London office. You will collaborate and work alongside a talented, motivated and extremely dedicated management team all of whom are passionate about the business and the localisation and Media industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a talented Human Resources team that closely partners with business leaders and influences both the strategic and operational direction of the organization and focuses on:

You will have full responsibility for the HR strategy and delivery across the UK business. This position will require an ambitious, professional and commercial individual, who can assist the Management Team in driving the business forward efficiently and effectively to deliver the strategic plan.

About the role: 

  • Reporting to the UK Managing Director, work as a member of the Senior Management Team to devise and implement HR strategy ensuring it supports the needs of the business and is flexible enough to cope with changes in the organisation
  • Support senior level decision making, in both day-to-day management and strategic direction of the Company by providing appropriate and proactive advice
  • Lead the development of the high-performance culture in line with our vision and values
  • Be the Change Management lead for the organisation, championing and embedding best practice across the company.
  • Provide generalist HR support in the areas of employee engagement, employee relations, learning & development, legal compliance, measuring & reporting, performance management (including the proper use of discipline or other corrective actions and/or policy-practice interpretation), compensation, and talent acquisition
  • Provide leadership, direction, counsel/coaching and business analysis that enables leaders to make sound talent decisions and promote employee engagement and positive employee relations
  • Team Management; lead the HR team, develop their capability and ensure that a culture of customer excellence and commerciality is fostered
  • Develop a robust approach to reward and benefits, aligned to organisational performance goals.
  • Develop and maintain a succession plan for all key organisational roles
  • Take overall responsibility for the recruitment process and delivery working alongside the hiring managers to ensure that the hiring process is efficient and meets the deliverables and expectations of the business
  • Support the drive for growth through innovation and effective engagement that enables high performance
  • Maintain knowledge of the industry trends and employment related legislation ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Work closely with Legal to ensure policies are delivered appropriately and in a legally compliant way

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field
  • Chartered MCIPD preferred
  • 5 plus years of demonstrated experience in all HR functions - compensation administration, employee engagement, employee relations, learning & development, legal compliance, measuring & reporting, performance management (including the proper use of discipline or other corrective actions and/or policy-practice interpretation) and talent acquisition
  • Experience of managing a UK HR department
